Paranormal Graduation.

Last Thursday night I attended our last Paranormal class and received my official ghost hunter certificate. We then went to a cemetery in order to see if we could pick up any activity. After being in the cemetery for awhile it started to sprinkle. The sprinkling gave way to a down pour and the night was cut short. We didn't even get a chance to thank our teacher. I did email him and let him now the I appreciated the class and what he taught me. Here are some pictures from the rain shortened night.

And Here is a picture of some of the equipment we were monitoring in the cemetery. There was a couple of spikes but nothing that stayed constant.

On Friday we left for the promise land. We arrived around 6ish and Mom fed us until our tongues pooked out of our mouths. That night I slept in the bed I slept in when I was just a wee lad. The next day we went to my cousins shop and looked around at the items he had. He has a lot of items already but sounds like he has even more to come. We are planning a trip down there in early Oct. For the Grand Opening. After making a purchase we went to one of my favorite stores. Uncle Lee's we found some items for Halloween and some ammo for the guns. After arriving home it was time to go to Grannies for supper. I ate until I almost went into a coma while chewing. I then waddled out to the car a we returned home. Dad just got a new 17 caliber varmet gun so we decided to go in the back 40 and try out the noisemaker. We sited in the scope so that it will shoot within a inch at 100yrds. After that Needles and I went on a Safari Tour around the grounds. We saw turtles, frogs, ducks, snakes, rabbits, geese, alligators, raccoons, squirrels, bears, chipmunks, birds, turkeys and cows. It was very exciting but it was getting dark so we returned home and reclined in the livingroom until it was time to go to bed. This morning we got up ate breakfast and packed up to get ready to leave. It was a fun weekend and I was glad we got to make it down since I haven't been in Kentucky for a few months. We arrived home around 3pm and found a JC Pennys catalog coupon shredded in the floor. In the middle room was several puke puddles of frothy foam leading back to the back room where Copper was hunkered down and in obvious distress. He vomited again and the sputum had a red ting like in may have a little blood. I put Copper in the bathroom to keep him off the carpet while we had to make a delivery. When we returned home Copper was laying in the bathtub and acted like nothing happened. He has eaten and seems to be doing fine now. I think he swallowed some of the coupon and got choked. Stupid Cat. I bet this breaks him of his wanting to chew on anything paper or cardboard. I hope anyway.

Haunted House.

Paranormal Class 5 was a house haunt investigation. It was very neat to wander through the home and hear some of the stories and happenings that gave this once lovely but now unkempt home. You could tell the home was very nice at one time. The tile work around the fireplace was neat and the sculpted wood work on the interior and exterior of the home let you know that this home was built when there was pride in the skills of carpentry. Before the doors were opened I looked through the windows and my mind ran wild with visions of things flying around and full body apparitions floating up and saying BOO, but after we entered the home I was surprised that my feelings changed and the slightly ineasy feeling I had before I entered turned into giddiness. I was anxious to see the whole house, even the attic. Even when we turned out all the lights and I was in the attic by myself I felt very comfortable. I guess I had a preconception of what a haunted house would look and feel like but I was surprised. I just felt like a home. Here are some picture that was taken during the investigation. We were in the home from 8pm until almost 12:30ish. All I had to show for it was 2 possibly 3 "orb" (dust) photos and a EVP.

Picture From The Dark Side.

Here is some tombstones on the second night of class field trip.

The picture above is our class conducting an EVP.

The next picture is the suspected center of the Indian sundial.

This picture is of bees at a Cemetery we did homework at.

This picture was taken at a marker were a young girl died in a car accident. The large tree in the background still has the marks where the car hit.

Ghosts N Goblins

Tonight was the 4th class of our Paranormal class. We did have a lot of class time but got to go to a location that a young female died in a car accident several years ago. They tried to get an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) The first attempt was illegible but the second they picked up a background voice saying "Killed By Car." The voice sounded like man but a female is who died in the accident. They had a cross and concrete stone marker on the site. The tree nearby bore the scares of her fatal accident. Apparently she had someone else into the car but we aren't sure if the sex of the passenger. He or She supposedly died in the hospital several hours later. It is too late to mess with it now but I will try to get some picture of our class in action this weekend. Thanks God tomorrow is FRIDAY!

Phantom Stench!

Tonight was our 3rd class of paranormal investigating and we got to visit a cemetery. It was neat to walk among the tombstones at night. The temperature was a little on the warm and steamy side but not too bad. Apparently there was and old Indian sun dial in the cemetery which supposedly is marked by several mounds in the area. The tallest mount was were we thought we may have made a connection to the OTHER side. We started smelling a sweet vanilla type smell. Almost smelled like flavored pipe tobacco. The smell seemed to come and go without any reason. We investigated the surround area to see if we could pick up the scent in other areas but didn't have any luck. I suggested that one person stay behind and let the rest of the group move away to rule out any persons perfume or even fabric softener smells. As the group moved away the smell went away. My first clue to the origin of the PHANTOM SMELL. We returned to the pavilion and I just so happened to be there with 2 lady's of the group that I suspected and yep there was the not so phantom smell again. Drat! Oh Well! There is always Thursday night.

It's A Fright!

We went to our second Paranormal Class last night. This one was more fun although it was hotter than HELLO in the building. After about an hour of looking at the equipment and our teacher telling us how and when to use the equipment to get the most information. The second hour we spent walking by the rodeo arena trying to see if we might pick up anything paranormal on our digital cameras. We would walk in almost total darkness and then suddenly you were blinded by a flash of someone's camera. It was neat to walk around in the dark. Your senses become heightened and normal everyday things take on a new personality at night. All in all it was just nice to get out of the class room where it was muggy and sticky. The night was still warm but a little breeze made it bearable. After class we returned home ecto-mist free. Better luck next time I guess.

A Haunting Good Time.

The other day I received a phone call from my brother Rudy. He asked me if I wanted to Join him and Ed for a class on ghost hunting. At first I thought no I got other things I need to do, but after a "Come on it will be fun." I decided I would go. It's not every day that I get to spend time with my Bro. Our first class of 6 was last night, we learned about different kinds of haunts, different terminology and theories on why things are haunted. After the first hour the night started to drag abit but I suspect that the next few will get better. Some of the picture we saw last night was neat. The orbs don't really do anything for me but the supercharged orbs and full body apparitions were kind interesting to say the least. Ghost hunting equipment is the next section where we will get to play with cameras, digital recorders , Electro Magnetic Detectors and various other items. Our next class is Thursday night and I think it will be better than the first. We are hopeful to go to a actual haunted house sometime during upcoming classes. I can't wait.

Ya Down With O.P. uh, hmmm. I Guess That's It.

If you remember that highly controversial song back in the day. Instead of what that stood for I am referring to a run to Ophelia's Cup last night. We drove over in the Jeep with the top still off from when Cynical and Ragged visited. It was a perfect evening to have the top off. I had the rockin roast beef sandwich minus the usually bread, they were out of, and opting for honey wheat. Needles had the great big gorgeous salad. We sat at a widow table and sipped the house coffee as we watched the sun on the face of the building across the street raise up to the top and disappear into shadow. We then went to Wally World to replenish Needles bottled water and a few other items. On the way home we meet another Jeep with the top off full of young girls they stuck there hands and arms in the air waving at us as we went by. It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand. Anyway after a lap through the park, we went to a friends house and stayed until the the sun was gone and the moon was bright. It was a full and fun day. Today I think we are just going to relax here at the house and dread tomorrow that will be here soon enough. We are having pancakes for breakfast. MMMmmmm!

I Love A Parade.

Here is some pictures taken with labels because you might get confused as to what are in the pictures. I am such a tard.
This is a small bench on the city hall square.

Shriner's

Tigger

Sponge Bob

Scooby

Miss Pork Queen 2005

They haven't elected 2006 yet.

Firetruck

Antique Tractor

Old Truck

This is the best. You may not be able to see the entire sign but it says "Squealing for Jesus."

The word squealing bring back memories of dueling banjos and Deliverance. deep body shutter.

The sign at the left of the float? is Oink if you love Jesus. Isn't it somewhat ironic.

Jesus never ate pork.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures.

Were Back!

I wanted to post more photos but blogger is having a fit right now. Maybe later.

We survived another hog wild pork day. We got there just in time to eat there famous pork burgers and chase it with a lemon shake up. We then got to our spot to watch the parade and that when Needles mom walked up to join us. We watched the parade and took lots of pictures. You can tell it is a farm community when the 70% of your parade consists of antique farm tractors and equipment. The rest consists of emergency medical vehicles , political candidates, Shriner's, Mason's, Church and local business floats. It didn't seem as big as it was last year and the concession stands didn't wrap so far a round the city hall square. The small town parade seems to be dyeing out slowly but surely. The tradition started in 1969 and who knows how long it will hang in there. This evening we are contemplating a trip to the big city to Ophelia's Cup for supper. I hope to have there rockin roast beef sandwich. YUMMY! I have to get the yard mowed today. Maybe after the sun sets lower to the west and it cools off a bit. We will see if I can yet again put it off until tomorrow.

PORK DAY USA!

Today we are traveling south to Needles neck of the woods to attend Pork Day. It consists of a parade, lots of food and 1$ grab bags. Oh an I almost forgot they elect a Miss Pork Queen, Isn't that a pleasant title. Last year they had the actual police car from the Andy Griffith Show and they had one of Dale Earnhardts race cars. The parade is nice and the food is excellent but we mostly go for the 1$ grab bags. We use them for bingo prizes when we go camping in Sept. It's almost time to leave so I will have to cut this short. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Shuttle Launch No Fireworks Please.

I am a geek. I like geeky things like NASA and science. The last time the shuttle launched I was unemployed and was at home watching every moment of the preparations, to the launch, the operations in space including the 3 space walks and return to earth. I was glued to the T.V. and even TIVOed the EVA's because they were scheduled at 3 am. Here it is more than a year later and I am watching it again. I am excited at another shuttle launch and also at the same time nervous. They found a crack in the insulating foam around a support but they have decided it was not a problem. As you may remember last time they had a chunk of foam fall off during lift off and a faulty hydrogen sensor in the tank during the preparation of launch. It seems like theres always a glitch, but with millions of things that can go wrong, you are bound to have a glitch or two. I see that one of the news station ran the numbers that there is a 1 in 100 chance that all the shuttle crew would die during the mission. That nice that these scientists and statistions can put a number on death at any given event or time. By the way the average number of people that die in the United States every year from animal or plant poisoning is 9. Interesting. I just hope this launch goes off without a hitch. Good Luck Discovery.

July 4th on the 1st.

This is one of the many shots I got at the fireworks show.

This weekend we a have been graced by the company of Cynical and Ragged. Although their stay might be short we packed a lot of things into their visit. Yesterday we had a picnic of sorts out at my parents house and last night we when to a local towns fireworks show. For a small town they put on a big show. This is the 7th year they have had the show and we have attended every year. We returned home late last night arriving around 11:30pm and stayed up talking for awhile. Today for breakfast we are going to have blueberry muffins and coffee. Yum. Later we are going out to Rudy's house to admire the landscaping projects they have done. Have a great rest of your weekend.
