Productive Weekend.

This morning I had about 30% of my Halloween Projects done. I can now say that about 95% of the projects are done. I kicked it into gear since Needles went to a spinning and dyeing get together and left me all by my lonesome. I started about 10am this morning and didn't stop until almost 5pm. Here is the Projects list:

  1. Electric chair victim ( movable neck)........DONE!
  2. Guillotine victim ( pumps blood)........DONE!
  3. Alien Autopsy ...........DONE!
  4. Gas Chamber ............needs smoke hooked up.
  5. Village Creature..........DONE!
  6. Geocaching containers......DONE!

I think this completes the list. Not bad seeing how half of these projects were just a thought and some supplies this morning. I am now confident that I will have everything done by Oct. 21st, barring any unforeseen set backs.

I am beat down tired and still need to get a shower, eat supper and finished 2 to 3 loads of laundry. Why does the weekends go so fast? I am not looking forward to work tomorrow. My boss is letting me to payroll to prepare us for her being off for a few weeks for surgery. I can already tell is isn't going to go very smooth.

I will post pictures of my projects after the Cache Slash Fest.

Finally Friday.

Today is Friday and the weekend is here. The only thing I have scheduled for my time is grocery shopping and working on Halloween Props. I still have to fix the electric chair guys head and finish up alien autopsy. The Village Monster is still just a mask but hopefully sometime over the weekend we will have a cloak and maybe the start of a form.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

As Seen On C.N.N. Glenn Beck Show.

This is actual transcript of the Glenn Beck Show on CNN....Congrates Clint!

BECK: OK. So what do you have for us? You`re our Public Viewer, and people write you and then bash me.
SACK: Yes, they send me stuff. Well, I got a lot of e-mails over the course of the last few months suggesting you have some kind of -- there`s like a lost separated at birth with you and the guy Ralphie from "A Christmas Story."
BECK: I don`t know. What do you mean?
SACK: You know "A Christmas Story"? Well, this guy, Clint, from ToyandGamesCenter.com (ph), was nice enough to send me the Ralphie bobblehead doll. And as you can see, it does bear a striking resemblance.
BECK: It does.
SACK: "Oh, it`s World War III, people. Let`s get your guns, and let`s go (INAUDIBLE) it`s World War III." So that...(CROSSTALK)
BECK: Unfortunately, I`m going to have to stick your tongue to a frozen pole.
SACK: Oh, dear. I forgot that scene. So I thought -- this is a guy -- you can have this for your desk, unless you break it like you broke my Parisian globe.
BECK: Well, yes, it was really -- it was hard for me to keep something from France not broken, but...
SACK: I understand.

My cuzzes shop is famous!

Very Nice Weekend.

We had a great weekend in the promise land with Cynical and Ragged. Friday we arrived around 6pm and we were off to eat at the Shogun. This was my first experience with Japanese food and it didn't disappoint. The food was excellent and the show was great. After we filled our bellies and then some, we did a bit of shopping at Target and at some seasonal shops. I managed to get a good deal on a couple of props for our Halloween haunt. We then returned home to chat and catch up on things. The next day we woke with coffee and cinnamon rolls. After some geocaching we again did some shopping and got Sonic burgers togo and eat at a neighboring park. The weather was nice and the squirrels were friendly enough. We picked up a couple caches in the park and returned home only to get a special treat. Cynicals famous lasagna only to be followed with dessert at Dairy Queen. I don't think any of us lost any weight over the weekend. Sunday morning we had coffee with pancakes and sausage in the side. After some more geocaching we had lunch at Steak N Shake and returned to Ragged and Cynicals to get ready to leave. One false start and we were homeward bound. We arrived home just in time for a down pour to make our unloading of items fun. It did slack up enough so that we didn't get totally soaked. Our fuzzy house mates seemed to be skiddish at first but quickly recognized us and was ready for attentions.

The picture above is from the park we had lunch at. The kids were enjoying the last days of a fleeting summer. The trees are forcasting Fall will soon be here.

Weekend recap.

Friday night we ordered food from the Trace Inn. After we were finished we went out to a friends house to help with a Halloween project. Saturday I worked on one of my own Halloween projects and I have it pretty much done other than a tweak here or there. We then when to Ed's house for a cook out. We had beer, hotdogs cooked over an open fire and chips. For dessert we had brownies and a new cookie called a CRACK cookie. It was very very good. Today I cleaned out the Jeep. I couldn't tell you the last time I cleaned it out. This evening will be full of laundry and getting ready for work tomorrow. My jury duty was cancelled, but I have to call on Oct 2nd to see if I have to go some other time.

Breathing Again.

Yesterday we got some news about a family member that we were all holding our breath for. Although it is news you don't ever want to hear, it wasn't as bad as I had been making it out to be in my head. I am a person who likes to research everything about a situation that is foreign to me. Especially when it involves a family member. When we got the initial news which included the word cancer my mind turned into sponge mode. I tried to absorb as much knowledge about it as possible. I think I hurt myself because I have had a headache just about every night since. Of course all the information came in a trickle at a time which isn't unusual with this situation, but my mind was set for sponge and couldn't get info quick enough. We now have as much knowledge about the situation as possible and although cancer isn't good news, it could have been a lot worse. We know the path that must be traveled and are anxious to get going down the road to recovery and cure. I read Rudy's blog and totally understand what he is saying about stress. Although I work in the medical field and sometimes high stress situations, when it comes to your own family all that training and stuff runs right out of your ear, down your shirt and ends up as a tiny greasy spot on the floor. Then you step in said greasy spot, slip and fall right on your rear end. We are able to breathe again.....but not too deeply yet.

Didn't want to leave.

We are back from the promise land and visiting with my parents. I know I was down there just last weekend but it was hard to leave. I guess last weekend I knew we were goin to be back down this weekend but ths time was different. I don't know when we will be back. I have to admit I got a little teary when leaving my parents this time. It was different. I could feel it.

While visiting with my family my cousin came to the house with a rather interesting creature. I looked at the thing in amazement. I had never seen anything like it around here before. We placed it out on the patio to get some picture and to identify this alien.

Here is a picture of the unknown.

This not so little feller is a Hickory Horned Devil
Caterpillars grow to 6 inches and look alarming. It is a harmless caterpillar and the spines are not irritating. Pale green body with spines; segments behind the head have long, curved, black and orange horns with short hairs. They eat hickory, pecan, walnut, sweetgum, persimmon and sumac. Found in the eastern United States.

Here is a picture of my brother Rudy at my cousin's shop.

Doesn't he look cranky?

What can I say.....I should have been a model...Look at that mug. Outstanding!

We are back home to get caught up on laundry and to give our furry house mates some TLC. You would think they haven't been rubbed in a months. Have a great rest of your holiday weekend.
