Holiday travels and pics.

Christmas this years just seems like we are going through the paces to get it over with. Last Sunday my Mom and Dad came up for our families Christmas and in a blink of an eye they were back to the promise land. Like if they spent any more time here they would get contaminated or something. I got money, gift cards, 2 pair of gloves and some wrenches to round out my haul for Christmas part 1. Christmas part 2 was less than a week away.
The week went by slowly and it seemed that there were a lot of people that weren't feeling the Christmas spirit as I had a run in with a crazy woman at work and the same happened to one of my co workers. I don't know what has happened to these people but you can't reason with crazy. Since Christmas fell on a Saturday we got a shortened work week. Friday after noon we headed South to Needles Mom.
It snowed most of the day and by the time we were ready to travel it was already 3pm. The ground was starting to cover over with snow and the roads were also starting to frost over with the white stuff.
We made our way South and on our way through a little town we noticed some deer off in a field beside the road. To see watch the video below. By the time we made it to L's house the snow was coming down hard in huge flakes. I decided to go check my trail cam since the weather was getting bad. By the time I walked to and from the trail cam I had about a half inch of snow on the bill of my cap. My shoe prints in the snow on the way down was already starting to fill in with fresh snow. To see the results of the trail cam please visit my hunting blog.
Saturday morning Needles got out of bed early to help her mom with the turkey. I tried to sleep in but with the snow outside, her Uncle J was inside and making lots of noise in his early morning activities so I decided to go ahead an get up. As the morning rolled on Needles three uncles rolled in one at a time and gifts were exchanged. A box of candy, some fruit and scratch off lottery tickets are the customary gifts for the family and conversations about a wide range of topics which keeps me guessing on what the next topic might be. All this while sipping coffee and smelling the turkey and dressing in the air. We had a nice time but it just seemed like Christmas was lacking the magic it has had in the past. Maybe it's the lack of time I have gotten to spend with my family but maybe it's because people just don't seem to be in the spirit of Christmas.
