Saturday we arose from bed with vigor and anxiousness to arrive in the big city and enjoy our day of food, coffee, conversation and shopping. We first met up with Cynical and Ragged at Border's book store and sat and visited for about 30 to 45 minutes. We then perused the store to see if there was anything we needed. I then noticed my stomach growling and Cynical and I decided it was time to dine. After driving around and considering our many options I recommended the Texas Road House. I had the 1/2 rack ribs with a side of sweet potato and baked beans. Washed down with and tall beer and sweet tea chaser. The food was very good, the service was great and the conversation was of course the best. The fact that Cynical paid for the meal, in my opinion, made the food taste even better. Thanks Cynical. After I got my drink on we then rolled out and went to several stores all with the same outcome. We purchased nothing from them. I went to 2 pet stores looking for an item for my brother and was very disappointed in the selection available. Needles did purchase some shrimp treats for our fuzzy housemates and bought my upcoming B-day gift. We finished of our visit with a stop by Backyard Burger and before we knew it, it was time to head home. Needless to say that I stayed up until 3:30 am last night watching both of my B-day movies . They, Flags of our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima, were very good although Letters is sub-titled. I wish in the options of these movies there could be an audio language that would allow you to select the audio in English. I don't mind reading but sometimes looking down at the bottom of the screen makes you miss the details of the shot. It seems you are rushed to watch the movie and soak in the images on a time limit.
Needles and I enjoyed our outing very much yesterday and can't wait to see our friends again next weekend when they venture to our neck of the woods for an early July 4th celebration. I just gotta get though this week of work. Thanks again Cynical and Ragged for meeting up with us.
I know a little about everything and everything about nothing. A photo journal.

Very Hard Day At Work.
Days like today are hard for healthcare workers, But don't hold a candle to what the family goes through in situations like today. My thoughts go out to the family of this terrible tragedy.

EZ-Go, Hard to Return.
We had a great time visiting my parents in Kentucky. We arrived early and noticed a golf cart on the carport. I thought, why is my aunt and uncles golf cart parked there? I think noticed another golf cart in the yard and then surmised. Mom and Dad has purchased a golf cart. I then found out that they purchased it that day. I think they will have a lot of fun with it driving all over the property and possible taking it camping. I know Needles and I both enjoyed a few laps around on the Safari Trail. The Safari Trail is a path that goes around the back portion of their property that has been decorated with different animals and signs. We drive around pointing out the various animals cute and scary that are along the trail. The animal range from snakes and alligators to turkeys and cows and a lot of animals in between. Friday night we stayed out on the patio until 11pm and enjoyed the conversation. Saturday we ventured to Mam maw's for pizza and Death by chocolate ice cream cones. Today we had spaghetti and garlic bread with lemon cake for dessert. It quickly became time to go and we really wished we had another day or two to stay but work and hungry pets were calling for us to return. We arrived home at 4:48pm after the 2 hour 40 minute trip. I was glad to be home but sad the weekend is almost over. I am getting laundry caught up and preparing myself for work tomorrow. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Pirates Interupted.
Last night Needles and I went to the Drive In. They were playing Shrek 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 3. We arrive very early so we had prime spot choice. We sat and talked until we spotted a co worker and her family rolling in. They pulled up in a spot near us and we chatted until time for the movie to start, roughly 9pm. We watched Shrek 3 first which finished around 10:35pm. The movie was good but to say it was as good as the first two might be a bit of a stretch. We then set in to watch Pirates 3. The movie started of with the projection being foreshortened and the top of the image cutting though the top of peoples heads. After about 10 minutes they finally figured it out and opened up the image to encompass the whole screen. I sat and watched the movie and before long I glanced over to Needles to see her eyes closed in a short nap. The movie seemed confusing and hard to follow from the start. To make the movie even more confusing and somewhat frustrating, the movie projector stopped 30 minutes from the finish. We sat for 10 minutes waiting for the show to get fixed as a mass exodus left the Drive In. After a few attempted restarts , 20 minutes and an announced bulb replacement the movie folk announced it a NO GO. Needles took our tickets up to the booth to get a rain check. We left at about 1:20am and arrived home at 2:05am. I guess we got to see one movie but I was really wanting to see Pirates.... I guess we will have to wait until the DVD to watch and hopefully figure it out.

Kitty Cats and Bathtubs.
This doesn't sound like a very good combination but as you see in the picture, Copper loves the bath tub and just about anything to do with the bathroom. He's a quazy kitty.
Look at that face. Make sure you finish you paperwork young man!
