We had a great weekend in the promise land with Cynical and Ragged. Friday we arrived around 6pm and we were off to eat at the Shogun. This was my first experience with Japanese food and it didn't disappoint. The food was excellent and the show was great. After we filled our bellies and then some, we did a bit of shopping at Target and at some seasonal shops. I managed to get a good deal on a couple of props for our Halloween haunt. We then returned home to chat and catch up on things. The next day we woke with coffee and cinnamon rolls. After some geocaching we again did some shopping and got Sonic burgers togo and eat at a neighboring park. The weather was nice and the squirrels were friendly enough. We picked up a couple caches in the park and returned home only to get a special treat. Cynicals famous lasagna only to be followed with dessert at Dairy Queen. I don't think any of us lost any weight over the weekend. Sunday morning we had coffee with pancakes and sausage in the side. After some more geocaching we had lunch at Steak N Shake and returned to Ragged and Cynicals to get ready to leave. One false start and we were homeward bound. We arrived home just in time for a down pour to make our unloading of items fun. It did slack up enough so that we didn't get totally soaked. Our fuzzy house mates seemed to be skiddish at first but quickly recognized us and was ready for attentions.
The picture above is from the park we had lunch at. The kids were enjoying the last days of a fleeting summer. The trees are forcasting Fall will soon be here.
