Geo Party

Well tonight was the big night. We had a Geocache Event party that was Halloween themed. Everything seem to be in order and we thought all of our I's were dotted and T's were crossed........WRONG! Like all events something has to go wrong. Call it a gremlin in the systems or Murphy's law. Unfortunately we had several hickups in the event. One cache a coordinate number was wrong and placed it some miles away. Luckily the cachers were smart to recognize the error and compensate. Then another cache had the parking coords. posted instead of the final cache. Another somewhat rookie mistake but hopefully we learn from it a press on to have an even better event next year. I think all of our guests had fun and got plenty to eat. We enjoyed hearing some of the creative and interesting caches they have visited all over the country. All in all I think it was a fun event and hope to do it again next year. Wishing you all a Happy Halloween.

The first picture is a skeleton my bother made to recite "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe. His eyes light up and his mouth moves to the words. The second picture is a pumpkin carved for the event with the Geocaching logo.

That pumpkin is soooo cool. I am sure the event went well. Every get together has a few bumps in the road.
