IT'S ALIVE!

Today at work the repairman came to look at the damaged Ultrasound machine. We were hoping for good news but we could have never imagined the news we would hear. The repairman hooked the monitor that was ripped off and bounced from a height of 4 feet into a car and then onto the pavement, and it worked. It's a miracle of sorts. We were all surprised and never in a million years would have guessed that with such an impact the thing would have worked. The tech then spent about 30 minutes vacuuming glass out of the keyboard. My friend is now back up and running and things are looking a lot better as the insurance guy inspected it the other day and with their policy the company only had monetary replacement. This means there is depreciation by age of the machine 10% for every year after the manufacturing year. This would have been bad as the machine is several years old. Only 30 to 40 % of the brand new price of the machine would have been paid to the company to replace the damaged machine. Isn't insurance a rip off. After you spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars for years and not having a claim, when you do the pay off is crappy and your premiums still go through the roof or you get cancelled. I will hush for now this is a rant for another post. Have a good evening.
